Thesis 6(0-12) would be optional and it will be offered in the 7th semester. In lieu of thesis, those opting for thesis will get exemption of two courses (a three credit hours course from list of courses offered in seventh semester and **SOC-394 (Project/Internship in semester eighth) However, the first course being exempted shall not be a compulsory course from the list of foundation courses of course scheme of studies of BS Sociology program.

Duration:
A minimum of eight semesters duration programme after intermediate or equivalent.
 
Admission eligibility: A person (male/Female) holding intermediate certificate, A-level or equivalent certificate from any recognized institute with at least second division or overall 50% marks shall be eligible for admission to BS Sociology programme.Admission will be on open merit basis; based on academic achievement in intermediate.A candidate must not be more than 23 years of age on 1st October of the year of admission, provided that the Vice Chancellor may relax age limit in very exceptional cases.
